1. WERE YOU NAMED AFTER ANYONE? My mom had a friend with my name. I actually had her as a teacher when I was in high school.
2. WHEN WAS THE LAST TIME YOU CRIED? Watching Emma at church on Wednesday night. That was our Enrichment night (with the Young Women). It was a great idea.
3. DO YOU LIKE YOUR HANDWRITING? It is very sloppy and getting worse all the time.
4 . WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE LUNCH MEAT? Ham.
5. DO YOU HAVE KIDS? Five—Megan, Sam, Rosie, Molly and Kelsie. I also have a daughter-in-law, three sons-in-law, and five grandkids.
6. IF YOU WERE ANOTHER PERSON, WOULD YOU BE FRIENDS WITH YOU? Maybe. I am usually friends with people that make the effort to be my friend.
7. DO YOU USE SARCASM A LOT? Too often, I am afraid.
8. DO YOU STILL HAVE YOUR TONSILS? No.
9. WOULD YOU BUNGEE JUMP? I can’t imagine a situation where I would, but I have learned never to say never about most things.
10. WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE CEREAL? I eat frosted mini wheats a lot. I like oatmeal (cooked on the stove), but it seems like too much effort most mornings.
11. DO YOU UNTIE YOUR SHOES WHEN YOU TAKE THEM OFF? Sometimes.
12. DO YOU THINK YOU ARE STRONG? I am getting weaker all the time.
13. WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE ICE CREAM? Ben and Jerry’s Chunky Monkey. It has so much fat in it that I usually only have it about once a year.
14. WHAT IS THE FIRST THING YOU NOTICE ABOUT PEOPLE? Their attitude.
15. RED OR PINK? I would have said red, but I have so many little granddaughters now that I am becoming partial to pink.
16. WHAT IS THE LEAST FAVORITE THING YOU LIKE ABOUT YOURSELF? I talk too much.
17. WHO DO YOU MISS THE MOST? My kids. I loved it when they all lived at home and I saw them every day.
18. DO YOU WANT EVERYONE TO SEND THIS BACK TO YOU? I almost never forward things like this. Another reason to love blogs!
19. WHAT COLOR PANTS AND SHOES ARE YOU WEARING? I’m wearing blue jeans and blue slippers.
20. WHAT WAS THE LAST THING YOU ATE? An apple.
21. WHAT ARE YOU LISTENING TO RIGHT NOW? Nothing—except the sound of typing.
22. IF YOU WERE A CRAYON, WHAT COLOR WOULD YOU BE? It depends on the day. Sometimes green (for calm), other times something bold like red. Probably black sometimes—look in my closet.
23. FAVORITE SMELLS? New babies. Roast when we come home from church on Sunday. Cookies or bread baking. The air outside on cold nights. Wood smoke from people's fireplaces.
24. WHO WAS THE LAST PERSON YOU TALKED TO ON THE PHONE? Rosie.
25. DO YOU LIKE THE PERSON WHO SENT THIS? It was on Megan’s blog. I love her!
26. FAVORITE SPORTS TO WATCH? I don’t watch sports on TV. When I go to a game I usually spend most of my time visiting with the people sitting by me so the particular sport doesn’t really matter. I do have to say that I like basketball better than football. Basketball moves a lot faster (they don’t spend most of the game in huddles) and it is played inside where it isn’t cold.
27. HAIR COLOR ? Dark brown with increasing amounts of gray.
28. EYE COLOR? Brown.
29. DO YOU WEAR CONTACTS? I did for over 30 years, but last year I had cataract surgery and had lens implants in both eyes. I can see better than I have for years without glasses or contacts! I do need reading glasses.
30. FAVORITE FOODS? I like almost all food. I do have a sweet tooth.
31. SCARY MOVIES OR HAPPY ENDINGS? Happy endings.
32. LAST MOVIE YOU WATCHED? Emma, see #2.
33. WHAT COLOR SHIRT ARE YOU WEARING? Red shirt, navy blue hoody. It is cold in my house.
34. SUMMER OR WINTER? Definitely summer.
35. HUGS OR KISSES? Hugs.
36. FAVORITE DESSERT? Almost all desserts are my favorite. I love lemon meringue pie and chocolate cake. Cookies are good too.
37. MOST LIKELY TO RESPOND? No idea!
38. LEAST LIKELY TO RESPOND? Still no idea!
39. WHAT BOOK ARE YOU READING NOW? America, the Last Best Hope by William Bennett
40. WHAT IS ON YOUR MOUSE PAD? I don’t have one.
41. WHAT DID YOU WATCH ON T.V. LAST NIGHT? I couldn’t find anything to watch. Dave was out of town and I actually looked for something.
42. FAVORITE SOUND? My grandchildren calling me “grandma”
43. ROLLING STONES OR BEATLES? Beatles
44. WHAT IS THE FARTHEST YOU HAVE BEEN FROM HOME? I went to Europe with Dave once.
45. ANY NEW NEWS IN YOUR LIFE? Just found out we are expecting a new grandbaby!
