Our last child has graduated from BYU-Idaho. It is the end of an era, and as much as I love graduations, it is sad for me. I have loved visiting Rexburg and my friends that live in or near there. I love the bookstore and Porter's. I love the memories of past times. Ava was born there, Rosie met Brandon there, I met Dave there (when it had a different name), we have spent fun times in apartments of all the kids, loved to meet their friends and roommates and attend great things on campus. It is very sad to me that it is ending. I don't know when I will see my Idaho friends again. An education from a BYU school is a special gift. I know my children appreciate the difference between BYU and other schools. I appreciate the opportunities it brought me as a parent. Going to graduation is like attending another session of General Conference. Aprils will just not be the same without driving through our annual blizzard to go and get someone or attend a graduation.
Do we look old enough to have all our children through college? I never feel old because of my age, but I sure feel old when I think of our children's ages or the milestones we have passed and will never see again. Sam's graduation is next month, but this is our last undergrad to finish. Time does go faster the older you get.Kelsie probably has a lot more pictures on her blog of her big day. We are so proud of her!
