Sam

I didn't know if I should title this "Sam" or "Graduation" because it is about both. Sam is my favorite son. It is more than he is my only son. He is a great kid (now adult) and I have always been so proud of him. He is amazingly talented and smart and kind and good--not necessarily in that order. On Friday he received his doctorate in physical therapy. I am sure no one could be happier about it than him, but I am a close second right behind Jessica. It has been (I need my thesaurus--I can't keep using amazing) watching him the last three years. Every time I see him he has a book in his hand or is on the computer doing homework, unless he is playing with his kids or doing laundry or fixing food for them. Sometimes all of it at the same time. I have never seen anyone work harder for something while doing so many other things at the same time. I am excited he is finally through school (though probably not nearly as excited as Jessica). I am excited that his family will finally have a house (Jessica has put up with a lot the last 6 years). I am excited for his patients--they will love him like everyone else does. I am excited about the town he is going to live in (what did moms do before the internet?). I just wish he wasn't moving his family so far away. We have loved having them close and can't imagine not being able to see them (almost) whenever we want. Congratulations Sam!
